Prophecy – Hip Hop Artist Chicago, IL

by EJah on Apr.11, 2010, under Artists, Hip Hop, Introduction

ProphecyHipHope.com a place for real Hip Hop and Hip Hop inspired artists to shine.  I get a lot of artists sending me music, a lot of them aren’t that great or don’t put a lot of effort into making their music sound good.  Lately I’ve been getting a lot of artists and models from Chicago.  Chicago has been going hard for a min.  Let me introduce to you Rapper Prophecy.  I have to admit I’m slow in getting around to listening to music and posting it, I’ve been sitting on his music for a while.  But as I listened to it, I’ve found that it’s hot.  Got music for the streets, the club and just to sit back and blaze too.  So here’s a widget to his music and if you want to see and hear more, the links to his sites are under that.

Female Hip Hop artist Tina

by EJah on Feb.19, 2010, under Artists, Introduction, Music

The shortage of women in Hip Hop has been terrible.  There has been a lack of women even wanting to rap, and when Tinayou find them, they’re not that good.  Back in Hip Hop’s hey day there female rappers weren’t as prevalent as males, but there seemed to be plenty.  Sha Rock, Pebbley Poo, Lisa Lee, Sequence, MC Lyte, Salt and Peppa, Hurricane G, Roxxane Shante and so on.  Now it seems like there are so few, Nicky Minaj, Lil Kim (who fell off so bad), Trina, Foxy Brown (also fell off), Remy Ma after that, who?  Well this shortage of female rappers has me combing Myspace Music and other sites for some lyrical Queens.  Here I found one that like, Tina, straight from Chicago.  Chicago know for it’s own Hip Hop history so you would imagine some good product comes from there.  Check her Myspace page, listen to her music and read her bio below and let me know what you think.  I think I’ve told you before, I think Chicago women are hot!  I’ve checked out her songs and they sound nice, check for yourself.

Quintescence brining back the essense of Hip Hop

by EJah on Aug.31, 2009, under Artists, Hip Hop, Introduction, Music

The other night at the Tribute to Scott La Rock I met this rapper named Quintescence.  My first thought was female QuintescenceMC’s that rip are non-existant in today’s rap world which is plagued by garbage.  Lil Kim, fell off, Foxy Brown, fell off, Charli Baltimore, never took off, MC Lyte, not recording any more, Queen Latifa, not recording any more.  Rap gals of today are represented by Trina, Princess and Jackie O.  Not that’s a bad thing but it’s just not enough.  Here comes Quitescence bringing the raw through the undaground straight from the Boogie Down (where I was born and raised).  She comes with an original rap flow, sounds just like she’s from the birth place of Hip Hop.  To top it off she keeps it old skool remembering her roots.  She does parties called Hip Hop Savior up in the Boogie hosted by legendary Grandmaster Caz.  I was impressed when I listened to her music and saw some of her videos.  Played on Hot 97 and AllHipHop.com is a few of her achievments.  No doubt the next big thing in Hip Hop that’s why we’re going to try to start recording with her.  Her looking good also helps her chances, but she doesn’t seem like the type to go half naked to get where she needs to be, that is a good thing.  Check out her music and videos on the links below.  Her own blog page coming soon if I have anything to do with it.

HipHope.com back in full effect!

by EJah on Jun.07, 2009, under Introduction

Selectah EJahHipHope.com is back, we’ve been static for about 6 or 7 months now.  Mainly because of the format change.  There’s been many options we’ve been exploring and decided to go with the blog format.  Specifically we went with Wordpress.  It’s lovely and so much easier than doing HTML.  We hope you like the new format, we have 15 posts per issue.  Showcasing undagroud artists, Hip Hop events and our dime model on the top posts and news, album reviews and signed artists on the bottom.  So make sure to check back often and comment as much as you like.  We don’t care if you disagree, hate on us, love us or whatever, we just want your opinion.  This site is about keeping it real and that’s what we want from you, your honest opinion and what you really think.  Plus we are still keeping the format of the mixtape for every issue.  So check the mix below, you can listen to it or download it, totally up to you.  This mixtape features club bangers, new, not so new and old school all mixed up in one mix.  Check for it and let me know what you think people.  Don’t forget to get the flash player you’ll need it for this site.  The Models link at the top shows all posts with models in it.  The Dimes link shows the past models of past HipHope.com.  Holla…..
